Draw Poker

In draw poker players are dealt a complete hand before the first round of betting. Players then develop their hand later in the game by replacing cards. The most common poker variant learned by first-time player is actually a kind of draw poker called Standard Five-card Draw. Due to the game's simplicity it is very popular among beginners but is hardly played in casinos and during tournaments.

Other variations of draw poker are: Gardena Jackpots also known as Jackpots or Jacks to Open, California Lowball, Badugi, California High/Low Split, High/Low with Declare, Double and Triple Draw, Four-before, Johnson, Jacks Back, Q-Ball, Shotgun or Skinny Minnie, Spit in the Ocean, Anaconda or Pass the Trash, and all other forms of lowball. With all the variations of draw poker it can be very confusing to try to keep track of all the specific rule of each game but it shouldn't be a problem if you just choose to learn to play one game at a time.
